Ostomy Appliance with Venting Component, comprising: collecting bag, body side wafer, bag empting opening with fixing unit.
Outside rim seam (4) and inside rim seam (5) shape up gas channel (6) which is with an inlet in the upper part of the collecting bag and an outlet in side part of it, mounted in which is the inlet part of gas tube (7), gas valve (8), normally closed, mounted at the other end of gas tube (7), whereby the content of collecting bag is sealed off.
When the flexible oval body (10) of gas valve (8) is deformed by user finger pressing, the end of valve (8) (where slits (11) are), opposite inlet sleeve (9) is open due to elasticity deformation - thus bag (1) content is in touch with ambient.
Gas tube (7) is mounted along valve (8) axis and its outlet end is close to slits (11), thus existence of passage in valve (8) is available in case of valve deformation due to finger pressure. In case of extra admissible pressure from bag (1) inside, pressure keeps valve slits (11) open, overcoming elasticity forces keeping slits closed.
In another version of Ostomy Appliance with Venting Component, a filter (12) - composed of inlet sleeve (13) to elongated body (14), replaces valve, at the opposite end of sleeve (13) are outlets, adequately small to prevent passage of chemical filter substance in body, securing free gas passage.
