Two basic modes of operation:
- as a "motor - pump (compressor)
- unit is powered by electricity and the rusult of operation is revised fluid (transferred, compressed, diluted), or as
- a "volumetric fluid motor - generator"
- powered by fluid pressure, generating electricity.
